Short, honest terms.
GoToBe is an independent project, not a large platform. These terms explain what we try to do, what we can't promise, and what happens if someone uses the service for harm.
We've kept the language short on purpose. If something here affects you concretely and you want it rewritten, write to us.
What GoToBe is
Infrastructure for local life, not an organizer.
GoToBe is a platform that helps people find and create local clubs, places, and activities. We are the structure between people, not the activity itself.
Clubs, events, and places you encounter on GoToBe are run by the people or organizations that created them — not by GoToBe.
What we try to do
Make local life easier to find and join.
We try to keep the service running, the data model small, the language calm, and the sources honest.
We try to moderate clearly harmful content (spam, fraud, hateful content, illegal activity) when we discover it or are notified about it.
We try to answer questions via the feedback page, but we can't guarantee response times.
What we don't promise
A personal project has limits.
GoToBe is provided "as is". We make no warranties about uptime, the correctness of external event data, or whether an activity actually takes place as advertised.
We are not liable if the service is down, if an event is cancelled, if a club host doesn't deliver what they promised, or if a place turns out to be different than described.
External event data is imported from libraries, ticketing systems, and municipal sites — we don't own that data and can't guarantee it's correct.
What you may do
Use GoToBe to find and create real local life.
You may create an account, join clubs, RSVP to events, create your own clubs, suggest new places, and claim places you operate or work for.
You may share links to clubs, places, and areas anywhere — all public pages are built to be shared freely.
What you may not do
Use GoToBe to harm.
You may not use GoToBe to spread spam, fraud, illegal content, hateful speech, or content that violates the rights of others.
You may not create fake clubs, fake places, or fake claims on places you don't have the right to represent.
You may not attempt to circumvent security measures, scrape large amounts of data automatically, or load the service with artificial traffic.
What happens if you violate the terms
We close the account, possibly without notice.
If we discover abuse, we may remove clubs, places, or events, suspend or permanently close the account, and block future access.
In serious cases (fraud, illegal activity, infringement of others) we may share relevant information with authorities under Danish law.
Content you create
You own it. We may show it publicly.
Text, images, and data you create on GoToBe (clubs, places, profile) belong to you. By creating them you grant GoToBe the right to display them on public pages and share them via URL.
You may request removal of content at any time by contacting us. When an account is deleted, your content is removed or anonymized within 30 days.
External links
We point out, we don't take responsibility for where.
GoToBe links to external sites (ticket providers, municipal events, venue websites). We don't control the content on those sites and are not responsible for it.
Governing law
Danish law.
These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes are decided by Danish courts.
Changes
We update the terms when needed.
We may change these terms without notice. Significant changes (e.g. introduction of payments) will be communicated via email to registered users.
